This research examines the relationship between the increase in migration to the European Union and growth the far-right, especially after 2011, and the refugee crisis of 2015, which highlighted the issue of migration. It explores how the rise in migration coincided with the growing influence of far-right forces within the European Union. It clarifies how the far-right exploited popular fears related to national identity, security, and the labor market to construct anti-immigrant rhetoric to mobilize voters, leading to their rise in local and European elections. The study also highlights the impact of the far-right in increasing pressure on the European Union regarding the issue of migration and the decisions and policies related to it. It shows how migration was a strong catalyst, although not the only factor, interacting with deeper crises such as a loss of trust in institutions, which reinforced extremist and populist trends on the continent.
