This research examines the mechanisms for implementing transitional justice at the international level, focusing on the legal and judicial role of international institutions such as the Security Council, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the International Criminal Court. Multiple models are analyzed to demonstrate the importance of accountability, truth-telling, and the prevention of impunity. The research concludes that the role of civil society organizations must be strengthened, cooperation with the United Nations must be enhanced, and similar international experiences must be learned from. The research aims to support justice in post-conflict countries by activating international mechanisms to ensure fairness, redress, and comprehensive reconciliation.
The problematic of this research revolves around the effectiveness of international legal and judicial mechanisms in enforcing transitional justice, particularly in light of political challenges, double standards, and the difficulty of implementing international bodies' decisions on the ground. Questions are also raised about the independence of these mechanisms, the extent to which the balance of international power influences the implementation of justice, and the challenges related to cooperation between states and international institutions in this field.
