Abstract

Societies' progress is only achieved through the young generation. The young leader is the active and influential young man in his environment, capable of achieving goals and accomplishments. Successful leadership is that which moves individuals in the direction that achieves their interests in the long term. It is a mistake to think that leadership has a certain age, or that the leader should be from a certain lineage, region or social class. The qualities of a leader include knowledge, experience and skill. Leadership is an art and a science. It is an art in the sense of inherited talents, and a science in the sense of learning the principles on which leadership is based.

- There is no person on earth who does not have leadership aspirations, or practice some kind of leadership in his daily life. This leadership is practiced by the manager with the employees, the teacher with the students, and the husband with his wife and children, contrary to what is prevalent among some Arabs who, as soon as they hear the term leadership, immediately associate it with political leaders.
