Abstract
The subject of the study is that drug crimes constitute a direct threat to the organization of countries, as they destroy economic and social institutions. Political and economic changes in most countries of the world have contributed to the exacerbation of the drug phenomenon and the expansion of criminal organizations across borders. These organizations are dangerous and attempt to impose their hegemony on countries through... Illicit trade in narcotic substances requires a real confrontation by international law and national governments ecause drugs are the world's dilemma and a serious problem with global features and dimensions, crossing borders and continents, linked to other organized crimes such as money laundering and international terrorism; which prompted countries to cooperate with each other urgently and directly and put the issue of drugs on the list of their priorities and comprehensive development plans. The manifestations of cooperation lie in concluding many international agreements and organizing periodic meetings of the competent border centers between countries to exchange information and intensify international efforts and international judicial cooperation. And cooperation with effective international bodies to carry out their work, such as the institutions affiliated with the United Nations, some of which we mentioned, and to fill the gaps or legal deficiencies that afflict them or stand in the way of achieving their goals of eliminating the use of drugs for illegal purposes and neutralizing their trade and transportation across borders.
