Abstract
The crime of practicing magic and sorcery is a dangerous phenomenon that threatens security and social peace, as it exploits weak or needy individuals. It is not just popular superstitions, but rather practices and actions that harm others. To eliminate these crimes, deterrent laws must be enacted or current penal laws amended by allocating legal texts for this crime and imposing penalties that are commensurate with the nature of these crimes on the one hand, and work to spread awareness among individuals about the danger of these crimes to them and to the security of society on the other hand.
