Intellectual security in Iraq has faced numerous challenges since 2014, with repercussions across all its dimensions. The security challenge has been the most significant obstacle, exacerbating other challenges. Intellectual security requires a healthy, stable environment and sustained security, both of which Iraq has lacked due to complex crises exacerbated by the emergence of extremist organizations after 2014. This has resulted in a fragile intellectual security environment in Iraq, necessitating measures to mitigate these challenges, address their root causes, and develop mechanisms to strengthen and sustain intellectual security. To fully grasp the research details and validate the hypothesis, the researcher adopted a descriptive approach to trace and describe the most significant challenges affecting intellectual security in Iraq after 2014. However, the specifics and details of the research necessitate the use of an analytical approach to identify the mechanisms required to strengthen and sustain intellectual security in Iraq.
To answer the questions posed in the research problem and to validate the hypothesis, the research was divided into two sections. The first section addressed the challenges to intellectual security in Iraq after 2014, while the second section examined the mechanisms for strengthening intellectual security in Iraq after 2014.
