The American and global political arena has witnessed the rise of a new nationalist trend over the past decade, embodied in Donald Trump's rhetoric and policies, which carry renewed populist and nationalist dimensions. This rise is linked to the thought of American thinker Samuel Huntington, who, in works such as "The Clash of Civilizations" and "Who Are We?", focused on the importance of American national identity based on the Anglo-Protestant cultural heritage, warning of the erosion of this identity due to globalization, immigration, and multiculturalism. This study presents a critical analysis of the relationship between Huntington's thought and Trumpism, examining the extent to which his ideas have shaped the new nationalist discourse, highlighting the similarities and differences between theory and practical political concerns. The study employs a critical analytical approach based on a study of Huntington's texts and an analysis of Trump's political discourse, comparing them to determine the extent of their alignment or deviation. The study aims to provide a deep understanding of the intellectual foundations of new nationalism and assess its impact on American democracy and the international order, particularly in the context of declining globalization and the rise of unilateral policies. In doing so, the study seeks to clarify whether "Trumpism" is a natural extension of Huntington's ideas or a political shift that distorts his arguments, while anticipating the implications of this trend for the future of American and global politics.
