Abstract

From a geopolitical point of view, Iraq possesses a distinguished position in the Middle East, as it represents a point of convergence and communication between the countries of the East and the West. In addition, Iraq possesses geopolitical advantages that help it in the context of conflict or competition between its neighbors. Benefit from it if Iraq succeeds in employing its geopolitical advantages and investing that politically, and interest is the basis of relations between countries. Also, showing the flaws and weaknesses of the Iraqi political decision-maker by not properly utilizing these advantages, facilitates the process of developing effective solutions to the problems that Iraq suffers from. and international. The correct use of all the geopolitical advantages of Iraq, enables it to move from an environment of conflict between external parties, to an environment of permanent and stable peace.
Despite Iraq's decline and its role being described as marginal and ineffective in Middle Eastern affairs after 2003, Iraq's geopolitical advantages enable it to play an effective role in strengthening and stabilizing the Middle East.
