Abstract
This research sheds light on one of the most important and dangerous global environmental problems, New threats emerged after the Cold War leading to a shift and expansion of the concept of security to include non-traditional threats, Among these threats is climate change which poses a serious and complex security challenge and a threat with severe negative repercussions for the security and stability of the entire world.
The importance of the research stems from revealing the seriousness of the phenomenon of climate change and its emerging challenges to international peace and security, which are gradually increasing, due to the devastating consequences it leaves on the lives of the international and human community, This will make it a major factor and source of threat to international peace and security, Thus there is a close connection between the phenomenon of climate change and the reality and state of international peace and security, which is exposed to a real threat as a result of climate crises and their negative repercussions affecting the human environment.
The basic problem of the research revolves around explaining the extent to which climate change and its security and environmental challenges are considered a new and major factor and source of threat and danger to international peace and security. The research aims to provide a comprehensive view of the impact of climate change on the reality of international peace and security and its expansion,
