Abstract
In recent years, we have witnessed a significant increase in the adoption of advanced technologies. This trend has created a pressing need to effectively regulate and guide the use of artificial intelligence in developing smart urban environments. Despite the potential significant benefits of artificial intelligence in enhancing life and urban development, this proliferation faces numerous legal and ethical challenges. These challenges include protecting individuals' privacy, defining responsibility in case of errors or misuse of such technologies, and ensuring accountability and transparency in decision-making processes relying on artificial intelligence.
To ensure responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in smart urban environments, legal and ethical frameworks must be established to regulate this proliferation and safeguard individuals' rights. These frameworks should focus on integrity and transparency, providing mechanisms for accountability and oversight while preserving individuals' rights and privacy.
By leveraging artificial intelligence in a manner consistent with these frameworks, the desired benefits of technological advancements in smart urban environments can be achieved without compromising ethical, legal, and individual rights.
